Many Ways to Give
Gifts of Cash
An unrestricted cash gift for the greatest needs of the people supported is of particular benefit, but gifts may be restricted for specific purposes.
Gifts of Securities
Gifts of appreciated securities can provide special tax advantages: capital gains taxes may be avoided and the fair market value of the stock may be claimed as a charitable deduction on your income tax. The simplest way to make a gift of stock is to instruct your broker or banker to transfer it to The Futures Foundation.
Gifts of Real Estate
A gift of real estate can be a practical way to invest in the future of The Futures Foundation. You can make an outright gift of a personal residence, give the deed to your property now but reserve the right to live in the home for as long as you live, or give the property in exchange for a life income. If the gift is irrevocable, you can take a charitable tax deduction based on the present value of the remainder interest to MORC, Inc. through The Futures Foundation.
Gifts of Personal Property
Gifts of tangible personal property, such as jewelry or vehicles, are just as welcome and helpful as gifts of cash. They make excellent gifts and are a heartfelt way to further the goals of The Futures Foundation.
Commemorative Gifts
Commemorative gifts to The Futures Foundation to memorialize or honor a relative or friend are an important expression of sympathy, joy, love, admiration, or respect. They are also a meaningful way to assure that the values of the person memorialized or honored live on in the world around us.
Matching Gifts
Some friends are able to increase their gifts to The Futures Foundation through their employers' Matching Gifts program. If your employer has such a program, your gift may be multiplied. Ask your human resources department about a matching gifts program and the forms to send with your gift.
